About Kassel
Kassel is located in the northern part of the state of Hesse in central Germany. The major city in the Hesse region is Frankfurt, which is about 100 miles (160 kilometers) south of Kassel and has an international airport. It is easy to get there by car or train, and direct service from Kassel takes about 1.5 to 2 hours.
